Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu, top-left of your
screen, then About This Mac. If it says Chip: Apple M1–M4, take Apple Silicon.
If it says Processor: Intel, take Intel.
Before you click
Windows will try to stop you. That's expected.
You'll see this box. Nothing's wrong — the app is just new. Two clicks gets you through.
Windows protected your PC
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognised app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.
More info
Run anywayDon't run
1Click More info — the small link. It's easy to miss.
2Click Run anyway, then install as normal.
Why it happens: Windows trusts apps once enough people have installed them. Boshworks is new, so it hasn't earned that yet.
On a Mac? Same idea
macOS will try to stop you too. Also expected.
Because the app is new, your Mac won't open it on a plain double-click yet. You open it a slightly different way — the first time only, then never again.
"Boshworks Studio" can't be opened
macOS can't check it for malicious software because it isn't from a registered developer yet. The app is new, not unsafe.
Move to BinOpen
1Drag Boshworks Studio into your Applications folder.
2Right-click it (or Control-click) and choose Open.
3Click Open in the box that appears. Done — it won't ask again.
Why it happens: Apple trusts apps from a registered developer. Boshworks is new and not signed yet, so macOS asks you to confirm the very first time.
What you'll need
Two things, and one of them costs.
WindowsWindows 10 or 11. Nothing else to install — everything it needs comes in the box.
or a MacAny Mac running macOS Monterey (12) or later — Apple Silicon or Intel, there's a download for each. The first time it runs, macOS may ask to install a small set of Apple tools — one click, then you're set.
